Congratulations to Matt

I spent some time with Matt at the end of last year. We worked on some things and the resulting blog posts were very popular.

I was pleased to hear that he shot his best score ever on Monday, a 68 off the stick. The 43 stableford points were also enough for him to drop his handicap.

Good work Matt!

He now has to keep doing the same thing over and over. The tendency is to change and do something differently.

For those interested, here are the blog posts with my golf lessons with Matt.

    Hi Cam
It is great to see Matt achieve auto so quickly but I feel he had a slight advantage over us in as much as he had a lesson with you in person and that is always better. To quantify my comments it is easy to read something but that is then open to interpretation and I feel from time to time I/we lose the point. That is where I am reasonably lucky because I am in contact with Steady on a regular basis and he helps me to read between the lines as such.I am still stoked though that those of us going down the road of the auto process are all having positive results so once again well done Matt and Steady for rediscovering the passion.
    Cheers Lukey

Hi all – I have only recently joined the “tribe” and whilst I am currently injured and unable to play for another few months (had seven screws and a plate in serted in both big toes/feet just before XMAS). I am really excited in Cameron’s methods just want to put them into practice. I, as you can imagine, am very frustrated, however, my feet seem to be on the gradual improve. Welcome any advice, suggestions etc. In the meantime, I will continue to digest all Cameron’s wisdom. I have enjoyed the rapport between Evan and Cameron – good stuff. Also enjoyed the lessons re Matt and congratulate him on a wonderful round which I am sure is the beginning of many for him.

    G’day Bernie
I feel for you. I’ve just had 4 months off with a back injury. All I can say is hang in there because the time actually goes surprisingly quickly. All the best.

@Lukey: Private lessons will always be better. There is no getting away with this. The beauty of the Internet and this forum is that all can learn and make progress. Keep going – most of the fun is in the journey.

@ Bernie: I was injured for much of 2009. Sometimes you can’t do much about it but hang in there. I hear your frustration though. My golf suffered but it is always good when you can get back to the golf course.

The best advice is to take in small chunks of information and then try and apply. Resist the urge to take everything in at once.

    Good golfing,

    Cameron
