Passionate Automatic Golfer has his say

Passionate Automatic Golfer has his say.

Some more thoughts: Steady is certainly passionate about golf and he has certainly been on a journey. There’s has been ups and downs but he is definitely a better golfer today then he was a few years ago.

Steady has asked lots of questions, helped others, explored and consumed lots of content. In many ways he’s an AG pinup boy. His round of 51 stableford points was certainly “remarkable”.

Great work Mr 51 points. Some questions for both steady and cam, with regards to your routine. How have you both progressed with combatting pesky? You obviously both started counting. What do you do now to keep pesky at bay? Did you stick with one method until silly thoughts started to creep in and realise it was time for a change in tactics or did you just start your routine again?

MM: Think a new post is in order. It will be titled “Pesky” or something similar.

Good one Steady and I feel our mantra should now be choose club ,commit ,hit ,accept , move on. And furthermore do not try (I Need to follow my own advice). Once again good one Steady and Cam.

    Hi all
Played again yesterday had 32 points. It may seem strange but considering
The highest score in that day was 37 it want bad. I played shots that I wouldn’t have played 6 months ago. Got up and down 4 times from hard positions. I played with determination and along the way had a ton of fun.
The reason for this is to give fellow AG encouragement to stick with its worth the ride.

    @Michael
How have you both progressed with combatting pesky?
I don’t give him any rent space in my head. I think of the rewards
Instead of the fear by not doing what I have to. When he says ” see I told you so”
I ignore it. Plain and simple.
You obviously both started counting. What do you do now to keep pesky at bay?
I don’t count anymore my entire focus is on the ball getting set and playing my shot or hitting the putt. I know that up until that point I have given myself the best opportunity to play to my utmost. That’s all you can do as a golfer.
Did you stick with one method until silly thoughts started to creep in and realise it was time for a change in tactics or did you just start your routine again?
Started routine again. When pesky starts with his bs I just dig in harder. These are the times when I play my best. Because I’m determined to be better than him. I’m in a sense not trying harder just better I suppose.
When you play golf you battle the course, other players but the biggest opponent is yourself.
As Cam and Tim Gallway have said there are two golfers you take to the course. Pesky and the natural instinctive golfer/subconscious. If you want success go for the latter because pesky is a turd. I hope this helps.
