Simple Golf

The secret to playing good golf is to hit the ball. Hit the ball badly, hit again. Hit it well and repeat. It’s pretty simple really. When you can hit the ball everything takes care of itself.

I think many understand that the game is about hitting the ball – it’s just they go about it in the wrong way. For them, hitting the ball becomes about intricate technique and controlling the motion. But that’s difficult.

Hit the ball is all the technique you need.

Very true words, Cam. A great reminder of how we should approach our game. Trying to control the swing produces tension, as I am noticing more these days. Giving up control of the swing is an adventure, and feels risky. In a comp, it feels even more risky. But I am starting to learn to embrace the adventure, take enjoyment in the risk.
Cameron’s book ‘The Golfer’s Nightmare” is really a dream, a gem. It contains some real gems..great experiments/exercises and concepts.
Keep up the great work, Cam.
    Regards, Mike.

Thanks Mike for your words. I’m working on book number two which I hope will take golf learning to a new level and expand on the concepts further.

Learning really is an adventure and should push you a bit. So I think you’re on the right path. Good things. Cam
